The Mortgage Office Launches TMO Envoy: An AI-Native Intelligent Loan Origination System
Envoy adapts to each lender’s own underwriting policies, preparing and validating every loan file in minutes so teams can focus on decisions and borrowers

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Oct. 28, 2026 — The Mortgage Office (TMO), the loan management platform trusted by more than 1,100 lenders, today launched TMO Envoy, an AI-native loan origination system built for private lending. In Envoy, AI agents prepare, validate and orchestrate work, while humans focus on judgment and credit decisions. Document review that could typically take 10 hours per loan is cut down to minutes.
TMO Envoy puts an AI agent behind every role on the lending team: processor, underwriter, loan officer, and borrower. By the time anyone opens a file, the documents are sorted, the data is filed, public records are pulled, and the loan has been checked against the lender’s own underwriting policies. The result is more loans closed, faster, without headcount growing at the same pace.
“Private lending is a business of judgment, not document management,” said Dr. Akhil Sahai, Chief AI & Product Officer at The Mortgage Office. “Envoy runs on a simple rule: agents do 80% of the work, lenders make 100% of the decisions. Every AI action is traced, audited and explainable, and Envoy follows each lender’s own credit policy, not ours. In private lending, transparency and control aren’t optional. That’s why we built Envoy – to establish the industry’s highest standards for flexibility but without compromising AI governance, security or compliance.”
Underwriting analytics and market intelligence is also built into TMO Envoy. SFR Analytics, which was acquired by The Mortgage Office in July 2026, is integrated into the automated loan origination workflows and delivers insights into borrower lending history, related LLCs, liens and foreclosures before the underwriting even starts.
Some notable features of TMO Envoy include:
Policy Center: Envoy turns unstructured checklists, policy guidelines and other disorganized underwriting data into rules and exceptions that govern across loans.
Easy onboarding: Envoy provides flexibility to every lender to configure their products and user flows, or use TMO starter templates, to meet their requirements.
Document library: Classifies and extracts data from 100+ document types, including bank statements, operating agreements, tax returns and appraisals.
Entity and multi-party loans: LLCs, trusts and partnerships as borrowers, with nested entities and ownership percentages; repeat borrowers are found and linked.
Terms and fees engine: Amortization, ARMs, payment schedules and term sheets, calculated, not re-keyed.
Servicing handoff: Closed loans will move into TMO servicing with no data re-entry.
TMO Envoy is designed for scaling complex loan portfolios, building off the company’s 45+ years of experience serving private lenders with proven accuracy and security. The product is the first to be released from TMO’s new San Mateo innovation hub that brings together the benefits of AI native engineering with TMO’s long standing expertise in private lending.
"Private lenders have trusted TMO with their portfolios, their investors' money and their compliance for more than four decades," said Sourabh Chirimar, CEO of The Mortgage Office. "Envoy brings that same discipline to the frontend of the loan. Agents take on the document chasing and data entry, so lenders can grow their book without growing their back office. Our goal is to give lenders one platform that supports every stage of the loan lifecycle, from application to payoff.”
